Moving data as particles: journeys, events, tracks

A day of London bike hires as particles, e-bikes and classic bikes in two colours.

• Journeys (bike hires, taxi trips, flights): a table with a start and end time and two places (coordinates, or codes plus a table of the codes' positions). Data → Import a file → Animate as particles → What moves Trips, the columns, Colours by category, Look Flow, Duration (s) for the whole span. Then Data → Particles: a Readout (a clock and counters), Draw as: Heat for density.
• Events (earthquakes, sales, sightings): Events, Look Pulse or Fireflies (they stay where they land).
• Tracks (storms, ships, vehicles): rows sharing an id with times and positions: Tracks, Look Comet; Smooth Paths on the effect curves between positions.
• Under a camera: particles draw through Atlas's camera and rise with the Root's Height on arcs.
• Handover: Data → Particles → Bake to PNG sequence for a machine without the plug-in (save the project first).

With Atlas MCP: import_file / import_data / open_data with as: "particles", kind, columns (start, end, from, to, fromLon, toLon, id, time, category), look, duration; then list_particles, set_particles_look, set_particles_colours, set_particles_heat, add_readout, bake_particles. Journeys between codes that need a second table of positions are (panel).
